How's It Done?
By sending a field-staff to the marketplace every week attending "dealer only" vehicle auctions from across the country and recording the transactions. The values recorded by the field-staff are then used along with large volumes of vehicle retail sales transactions. The information is passed through a custom-designed software and then reviewed by Black Book editors one-by-one. Once the editors are satisfied, the prices are published.
